Review from Susumi

Twenty5stories are the other band I went to see last night, and also good friends of mine! I love their stuff so much..It so totally the kind of music that I would buy! I can't wait for them to get a CD together! They're kind of indie/alternative/rock, and at gigs they do a mixture of their own songs, which you can find on their websites, and amazing covers of things like Seal - Kiss from a Rose, Tracy Chapman - Fast Car, Alanis Morisette - Right Through You. Seriously......major plugging going on here....CHECK THEM OUT!

Firstly we can't thank everyone enough for missing the Fun Loving Criminals and coming to watch us play in Blends on Friday at the Ball, it is much appreciated. We all really enjoyed it and I (Graeme) couldn't have asked for a better birthday present. We played well together, and the support we received in the crowd made the set an absolute pleasure.

Anyway we are just waiting to get the mixes back from the studio at the moment but you can listen to the finished items on myspace as soon as they are available to us. We will be playing at the Assembly Rooms this Thursday 18th, and would love to see you there. Tickets are £3 and the event starts 7:30pm.

Barracuda Gig Review

"After two years of hearing the incredably talented Gaz and Ross at open mics, I was a little worried about how the songs would sit as a band...but, in danger of sounding silly, OH MY GOD! these guys were incredable. Dave (bass) was dancing around like a man possesed, Gaz and Ross (guitar and vocals) were both so dominat and the harmonies were breathe taking, and Graeme (drums) filled up already amazing songs with a great use of dynamics. The band were much heavier than imagined they would be with many big distorted guitar parts and octave runs, but the sound they have created along with so many stand out songs, these guys are set to be huge. And to think they have only really been on the scene as a band for three months! the crowd loved it and I can't wait to hear the CD when it's done."

'On Yer Mikes!'

Dave here,
We heard today that we are one of the 9 unsigned bands fortunate enough to be selected to perform at the competition 'On Yer Mikes!' run by Egg, in cooperation with the Derby Dance Centre. We will be performing on the 18th May at the Assembly Rooms in Derby, which, safe to say, is a lot bigger than anything we will have played before. Obviously this has left us all on a high and we cant wait to play our next gig to vent some of our excitement!
25th at Baracuda - in the centre of derby. We have some new songs for all of you out there too, and we would love to hear a crowd response to them!
Thats all for now.
